Percy Sledge to "Hammer out the hits for BROYHILL BAPTIST CHILDREN'S HOME"
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, PERCY SLEDGE, known for his many hits, including, "When a Man Loves a Woman" will be making his last stop in the US before his summer swing in Europe. The Percy Sledge Show encourages all to "bring a little extra" to both of the shows to benefit the Broyhill Baptist Children's Home as their representatives will be on site accepting donations. Seating is limited and selling fast with the Vettes in the Valley Corvette show in town. Show promoter, Duane Goins said, "I hope to sell the venue out in order to make a substantial donation to BCH." Duane further said, "This is not a festival or night club show, but a full blown concert in an alcohol-free environment. Percy will be accompanied by a great band with horn players to acheive that great sound. We hope to have local veterans from Waynesville present the colors before the show and we intend to recognize them and the military services as they are the reason we can come together on occasions like this and still call the wars of the past foreign wars."
